Tea Garden!

Tea Garden!

Today I re-potted my summer project– a little tea garden! Lemongrass, Lemon Balm, French and Blue Lavender, Spearmint, Peppermint, Ginger mint, and chamomile.

Really feeling the whole mindearthbody connection today. Probably just heatstroke 😉

  1. This may be a silly question but do you dry your tea before brewing? It looks a lovely selection. I’ve just had to order some teas in as we can’t grow dry weather plants here in Singapore!

      1. Yes, it’s like using fresh vs dried herbs in cooking isn’t it? I guess it’s more economical to dry them (if you can do it naturally outside). Will check out the website you gave me, thanks! (And enjoy the tea)!

    1. Not a silly question at all! I snipped a few leaves off before each use and rinsed them gently in cool water before brewing. I found they tasted better fresh like that versus store-bought, dried tea. My plants also didn’t provide enough volume for me to dry them because if the leaves are dry, you need to use more of them to get the same flavor. It was a fun little experiment!
